Privacy Statement (Asia)

Last updated: November 2026   |   Version 1.0

1. About this statement

This Privacy Statement applies to individuals in Singapore, and to personal data collected, used or disclosed by Ardmore's Singapore companies. It supplements our main Privacy Notice, which explains in full how Ardmore collects and uses personal data, including the data we collect, our purposes, who we share it with and how long we keep it.

Everything in the Privacy Notice applies to you, except where this statement says otherwise. Where the Privacy Notice refers to the GDPR, read this as the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore ("PDPA").

If you are located elsewhere in Asia, our Privacy Notice applies, and you can contact us at privacy@ardmoreshipping.com with any questions about your personal data.

2. Who we are

In Singapore, Ardmore operates through Ardmore Shipping (Asia) Pte. Ltd. and other Ardmore group companies, from our office at 6 Shenton Way, #12-08 OUE Downtown 2, Singapore 068809.

3. Our Data Protection Officer

We have appointed a Data Protection Officer, who is responsible for making sure our Singapore companies comply with the PDPA. You can contact our Data Protection Officer at:

  • Garry Noonan, Data Protection Officer

  • Email: privacy@ardmoreshipping.com

  • Telephone: +65 6329 9400

  • Post: Data Protection Officer, Ardmore Shipping (Asia) Pte. Ltd., 6 Shenton Way, #12-08 OUE Downtown 2, Singapore 068809

4. Business contact information

Most of the personal data we hold relates to people we deal with in a business capacity. Under the PDPA, business contact information, such as your name, job title, business telephone number, business address and business email address, is not subject to the PDPA's data protection obligations where you have provided it solely for business purposes. We nevertheless protect this information in line with our Privacy Notice.

5. Consent and purposes

We collect, use and disclose personal data for the purposes described in section 4 of our Privacy Notice, and we will tell you the purpose when we collect your data, unless it is obvious. We do so:

  • with your consent, including where you voluntarily provide your data for a purpose that is clear (for example, by sending us an enquiry or a job application);

  • where we have notified you of the purpose and you have not opted out; or

  • where the PDPA permits us to do so without consent, for example for our legitimate interests, to improve our business, or to comply with the law.

6. Withdrawing your consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer. We will tell you of any likely consequences of withdrawing your consent, for example that we may no longer be able to consider your job application. We will process your request within 10 business days of receiving it, or tell you if we need more time.

Withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue using your data where the PDPA or another law permits or requires us to do so.

7. Accessing and correcting your personal data

You can ask our Data Protection Officer for:

  • a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and information about how it has been used or disclosed in the past year; and

  • the correction of any error or omission in your personal data.

We will respond within 30 days. If we cannot respond within 30 days, we will tell you in writing when we will be able to respond. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests, and we will tell you the amount before we process your request. Corrections are free of charge.

8. Marketing messages

Every marketing email we send identifies Ardmore and includes a simple way to unsubscribe, in line with the Spam Control Act 2007. We will process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. We do not send marketing calls or text messages to Singapore telephone numbers.

9. Protecting your personal data

We use reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or loss. If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, or affects 500 or more people, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission within 3 calendar days of assessing it, and we will notify you where required.

10. How long we keep your personal data

We stop keeping personal data, or anonymise it, once it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected and we have no legal or business reason to keep it. Our retention periods are set out in section 12 of our Privacy Notice.

11. Transfers outside Singapore

Ardmore is an international group, and your personal data may be transferred to Ireland, Bermuda, the United States and other countries where Ardmore or our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal data outside Singapore, we make sure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, through our intra-group data transfer agreement for transfers within the Ardmore group, and through contracts with other recipients.

12. Cookies

Our Cookie Policy (Asia) explains which cookies we use and why. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies, and change your choices at any time, using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page.

13. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer first and we will do our best to resolve it. You can also contact the Personal Data Protection Commission at www.pdpc.gov.sg.
